AGILE ORGANIZATIONS


In Agile software development practices, the word Agile is used to capture people interaction driving rapid response and reaction. Based on trust between parties impediments for fast decisions are removed and continously addressed over time to improve effectiveness. This approach can certainly be leveraged outside the Software development community.


Many organizations of today have adopted their own definition of Agile. Too often that means that they want to deliver just faster and more reactive. Essentially the same mindset and practices of today but using different ceremonies, terminology and technology.

Unfortunately, that approach miss out on the fundamental change that Agile can bring in closer collaboration, increased trust and reducing wasteful activities in bringing tangible value. Agile software development is really an approach for product maintenance using stable evolutionary change together with stakeholders.

Being a virtual contributor


Today, the technology needed to live whereever you want and still be a valuable employee in a large organization is fully possible. The mindset and organizational cultural adoption is not at the same level as yet. 


With the Covid-19 pandemic, the need for social distancing has become very important. More or less overnight all types of organizations needed to review how they could make their workforce work remote, and at the same time continue to be productive and useful for the company. Even if the pandemic certainly is bad, it has change culture and acceptance of working detached from the company offices.

First step

Move as much as possible to be accessible from the internet. Mimic the office, but from home or similar.

Second step

Review and improve the way work is done. New ways of working is emerging and coming ways of social networking has been much more relevant. As always, the companies and individuals that can seize the moment will win marketshare and thereby fame and fortune.

Autonomous living


Using renewable energy sources, being able to save energy to consume at will and minimize water consumption makes you very independant. Combining living independency and working not stuck to a specific location open up for new ways of living. You can be very local and at the same time work all over the globe.


Our ambition is to challenge the current way of living and dependencies maintained. Often our infrastructure is built with large investments and long time to get money back. This leads to lock in effects that does not gain our society but rather cement old structures. Today, there are possibilities for a farm or forestry to be autonous and not dependent to others for energy and food. Additionally with access to internet, social networks can be maintained and work performed as part of larger communities and or companies.

Generate energy

For a farm there are many ways to generate energy like solar, wind and forest waste. The key problem is to be able to store it, so it can be used when needed. Batteries are leaking energy and now hydrogen arise as a more stable way to store energy

Consume energy

Unfortunately, energy is seldom generated when needed. Instead stored energy need to be used and here we believe hydrogen is the best option. Consumption can then be done by using a fuel cell generating electricity. This takes away the need for being connected to the grid.
